Return to The Brig

After the lackluster showing from the PAX on Saturday and more rain coming throughout the day, YHC was a little discouraged heading into my return to The Brig. The PAX who showed up, showed out and I had a blast leading these men. The advantage of only having one other PAX at your previous Q? You get it to run it back without anyone feeling like they’re getting leftovers. Here’s how it went down: Warmup…

Curls for the Girls at The Brig

2 runners and 7 bootcampers dodged the rain at The Brig.  After completing IronPax Week 0 in the AM, Merkins were off limits.  Instead we took a short mosey to my driveway and completed a weighted circuit focused on pumping up our beach body muscles.  Our poor biceps are often neglected in bodyweight workouts so I thought we would do something that would appeal to the likes of Captain Jack, Dovetail and Ringo. 1/2 mile…

We had nine at the Brig including Sashimi, KP, Softshell, Carnival, Dovetail, Ringo, Shark Tank, Murdoff, and myself (Captain Jack).  We did a few quick warm up exercises as a few stragglers rolled in. Next, we were off to the AstroTurf.  We did a quick lap moseying the short stretches and running the long stretches. After that we went back to the flag and paired up for a lazy dora.  Partners perform 100 Merkins, 200…

Quality Time on the AstroTurf

We had 7 men at the Brig for the June 2nd bootcamp.  This included Dovetail, Gucci, Shades, Soft Shell, O’Reilly, Short Block, and myself (Captain Jack). We gathered up to complaints about the Murph and requests not to run too much.  Once we hit 7 pm we moseyed over to the AstroTurf soccer fields.  The fields were relatively empty probably due to the closed for maintenance signs.  After a quick warm-up, we did three rounds…
