Ruckout

A couple of guys and myself wanted to get together and stay connected while getting a workout in, so we met in the Publix parking lot for a good ruck beat down. A couple guys didn’t have rucks, but I brought blocks and kettle bells so they were fine. Below is what we did. We kicked it off with a 2 mile run. After we were warm and the blood was flowing we got busy…

Paddlers Run

A few of us met for some miles.  It was a little foggy and wet.  We ran a good route in Paddlers.  Got in from 4 to 5 miles.  Hit a couple segments.  Passed a lot of fart sackers.  Pace was aggressive (I blame that on AP) and hills were tough. Numbers were kept below 10 Distances were kept safe No COT at end-that wont happen again, my bad.   A few went back to…

Walls of Jericho

Welcomed Pax, gave a quick disclaimer and then we headed off to the boat dock parkinglot. I had cones set up at the 4 corners of the parkinglot to make a running loop that was .25 mile per lap. I told the guys we were running the walls of Jericho. We did 7 reps of 7 different exercises then ran a lap. We did this 7 times around. Like Joshua did around the walls of…

Virtual Training

Even though P200 is more than likely to be cancelled we decided to keep running. Why stop? Virtual race! Whether or not we run, I want to be ready and still train for whatever the next thing is. Crabby and I met up. We were looking for Peg too but his alarm malfunctioned. It happens. The initial plan was for a long run on the same path as last week. Turned into a shorter route…

P200 Training

Crabby, Peg, and I went for a nice run Thursday morning. The aim was to get in a good 5-6 miles. We took a new loop after last Saturday’s long run. Got us some extra mileage in the beginning. Ended with a run up the Kings Grove Strava segment. I was at the top waiting on Peg (he took a couple extra cul-d-sacs). Dude was coming up fast. I yelled out “take down Ferns!” Little…

Ruckon

Lake Wylie region has something new brewing so a couple guys met to ruck and recon to find the best location. It was tight. Recon was done, fellowship was had, Rucks were on. Here’s what happened We got out of cars. We put rucks on. We started walking that way. Ferns said “lets cross to the other way”. We did. No one got hit by a car. We continued walking this way. Snake was like…

We moseyed to the upper (nicer) parking lot and stopped at the well lit area for some in cadence warm-ups that included the following: Windmills Low Slow Squats Merkins Moroccan Night Clubs We then put our Rucks back on and finished the ruck to the upper lot.  I picked for light posts to…
