I got to Paddlers Cove a few minutes early went to the pool house set up the Lake Wylie flag, left my speaker and some chalk behind for future use in the night. I made my way back to where we stick the flag and a some guys were already huddled up. Then a few FNG’s showed up and we grabbed up who would later become “Scantron” and welcomed him to our group. He had been doing squat stair jumps when I was driving in. I gave a thorough disclaimer since we had some FNG‘s and we took off towards the entrance of the park. We circled up in the grass and did some basic stretches that included side straddle hops, Merkins and mountain climbers plus some low squats. We then made our way down to the pool house where the real thing began. I forgot my weinke in the car which has 10 exercises listed on it. The objective was do each exercise and record your rep counts with the chalk. Each exercise would be performed for 90 seconds.  I quickly “remembered” the list. I wanted to go through this list twice and increase our reps on the second round but with the large group we started falling short on time. So we went through it one time. Everybody kicked butt. We then Moseyed back to the flag did a nice long Indian run, picked up the six and we named  our FNG ‘s. Welcome Scantron who likes to read and write, MSG who loves Ramen noodles and ACP who almost threw up his dinner which was aros con polos. Announcements were made, core principles and mission statement were discussed, and we talked to Jesus.
